Mark is an installation of ceramic fingerprint maps, documenting pain points on my body over a month. Each day, I dip my finger in ink, mark each place on my body where I feel pain, and record the process through photographs. Then, I press a small ball of porcelain between my thumb and first finger, flattening the clay to capture my fingerprint. After a month of marking, I project these images onto the walls and place a porcelain fingerprint at each point of pain. My pain fills the gallery walls, surrounding viewers and camouflaging itself as abstracted bodies.
